What is Pste.ca?


Pste.ca is a completely free, encrypted and mobile friendly paste tool, where you can store text online for a set period of time. The website is mainly used by programmers to store pieces of sources code or configuration information, but anyone is more than welcome to paste any type of text. The idea behind the site is to make it more convenient for people to share large amounts of text online. 


What is your Acceptable Use Policy?


Broadly speaking, the site was created to help programmers. You are however welcome to post any type of text to Pste.ca. Please do not post email lists, password lists or personal information. The Help Desk can be used to report such pastes and they will be deleted.


Do NOT post:

- email lists
- login details
- stolen source code
- hacked data
- copyrighted information / data
- password lists
- banking / credit card / financial information / data
- personal information / data
- pornographic information / data
- spam links (this includes promoting your own site)


If you do not comply with our Terms Of Service Policy we might ban your account and/or IP address from the website.


Also, your IP address & user data might be shared with authorities.

How many lines can a paste be?


Every paste is limited to a maximum of 250,000 (0.25 Million) characters and any additional lines are stripped, please create multiple pastes to accommodate for this. The reason we do this is to minimize on viewers having to scroll through your long paste and to prevent abuse.


Why should I create an account on Pste.ca?


When you create an account you get your own Pste. This means you can now store pastes and have full control over them at any point in the future, including editing and deleting options. Having your own Pste is also great for sharing your pastes with others. Your Pste is both public and private at the same time. Your public pastes are visible to everybody while the private ones are only visible to you.


How many pastes can I create?


The short answer is, unlimited.
 

Can I embed images?


No, you cannot embed images, only links, however, links will not be parsed. Our security measures prevent the aforementioned in order to protect viewers.
 

Pasting / Viewing really long paste upload / pste performance


Pasting large amounts of data is allowed, up to 0.25 million characters, since this is a lot of information it may take a few minutes to complete the upload to our servers. Your browser will show you an upload progress meter, if not please wait while your upload is completed. Speeds are limited mainly by your internet connection speed. You will be automatically directed to your finalized post afterward. 

Viewing super long pastes may also time a minute to completely fetch to your browser. This is completely normal as the page is being rendered, as our servers check the paste for any malicious content and also for performance measures as we serve hundreds of thousands of views daily.


How does your Spam Filter work?


Pste.ca uses an automated spam protection system that will display a captcha request after you have tried to create a new paste.

How do your hits counter work?


The hits shown above each paste displays the number of hits. 

 

At this moment in time, we do not delete pastes that do not have an expiration date. But in the future, we might automatically delete pastes that have not been viewed by anyone in more than 12 months. Again, this is not something we are doing at this moment. But we might start doing it in the future.


Do you sell premium accounts?


No, this service is completely free and ad-supported. Please support our service and help keep it alive by disabling or whitelisting us on any adblockers you may be using. We display responsible ads.
